I started drawing 'The Quiet Life' in the summer 2017 when I just arrived on Salt Spring Island, Canada, BC. My hand was recovering slowly from its injury and so I allowed myself to draw whatever I want and to be just grateful that I can again, whatever the result is. My friends I stayed with are both musicians and I promised Mike to do an artwork for his next album cover. When he saw me drawing the lines of this artwork, I could see he likes this one more than anything else I showed him so far. Mike has the kindest nature, so when I told him this can be his album cover he was over the moon! He gave it the title 'The Quiet Life' and it definitely influenced the art work at that time. Later Mike changed his title to 'FELUX'. I liked 'The Quiet Life' very much, I wanted to use it and so this fine art print came together! For me it represents the time on Salt Spring Island in August 2017, the calm after the storm for me. It was a healing time to reconnect with the quiet life again and have time to watch the bug crawling up your arm while the sun reflects on the water... . Thank you Mandie & Mike and all Salties I have met for this wonderful time!
