Denise Fort is a New Zealand artist inspired by the unique shapes of nature she finds both on her backdoor step and around the world.

​

German-born, with Czech roots, Denise is an accomplished, well-travelled artist who has exhibited in Europe, Asia, USA, Canada and New Zealand.

​

Living back and forth between Canada and New Zealand for the last years, she now lives and works as a full-time NZ artist from her gallery and studio in the coastal town of Raglan at 20 Bow Street.

Denise is well-qualified having graduated in 2007 with a degree in Industrial Design at the University of Applied Science in Munich, Germany. For several years she worked in the design industry in Europe and New Zealand as a product designer,  illustrator and graphic designer with a focus on branding.

​

Denise’s style has captured the hearts of the New Zealand people. Over the years, she has been invited to commission several mural works, which now feature on walls, skate bowls, and cafes across the country.

Her collection of contemporary clay bead jewellery features one-of-a-kind, original pieces of art, signed personally by Denise herself.

Denise’s fine art is either limited edition prints, or original pieces that are numbered, signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.

What makes Denise’s art unique is her detailed, illustrative style and playful storytelling using bold black marker lines, which have become her signature medium.

​

You can’t help but be intrigued by the character and personality of Denise’s work. Much like its creator, her art exudes imagination, fun, and happiness.

​
